Falmouth Dog Park

The Falmouth Dog Park opened in May 2011 and is the only dog park on the Upper Cape. The Dog Park is made up of a 1.6 acre site on town-owned land, with two fenced play areas for dogs.
Falmouth Together We Can, Inc. sponsored the Dog Park for a 6-month time period from November 2010 to May 2011. President of the Dog Park, Barbara Schneider, recalls this time period as a crucial part of the organization's success, noting "because of the willingness of Falmouth Together We Can, Inc. to serve as our umbrella, we were able to get the Dog Park concept off of the ground and start taking donations towards building it". Today, the park, with its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization status, is operated and maintained by volunteers, and is completely funded via donations and fundraising activities.
